Breakfast Run – Sun 13th Nov 2011.

The day started out rather cold with lots of rain falling but there were 11 x Chevy LUMINA's arranged to fight against the thunder.

We all met at REEDS N1 City and enjoyed a warming cuppachino while we waited for everyone to arrive. We even attracted two LUMINA's all the way from George (Garden Route LUMINA Club).

We left the dealership in convoy (and in pouring rain) and followed the N1 to Klein Joostenberg where we enjoyed Breakfast. It was fantastic listening to all the passion that is shared for this iconic brand and the many stories everyone had about their cars! After breakfast and some good coffee we all headed to the parking lot to admire each other’s machines. We took a closer look at all the Lumina’s that arrived and compared accessories and modifications. There were some really impressive cars! Lumina as a brand has always been about something special and unique and once you own a Lumina you know what it is all about!

We then took the road through Stellenbosch, over Hellshoogte pass and stopped off at the Franschhoek Motor Museum. Here we had a look at some very rare and very unique cars! This collection of vintage and some not so vintage beauties are truly amassing and a must see if you have not been! The highlight for us were the old Chevrolet’s that were on display along with an array of a few little red numbers, namely a fantastic Ferrari collection!

It was awesome to see all the Lumina's on the road and there was no doubt that all that attended had a great time despite a few rain drops!!
That said, we are looking forward to the next event and I am very sure it will be bigger and better!
