Promising to be even more efficient and dynamic than its predecessors, this iteration of the perennial favourite will benefit from fresh new aerodynamic design principles and bring a whole new level of sportiness to the table.

Not only can we look forward to a reimagined Corsa next year, we can also brace ourselves for the imminent launch of the all-electric Corsa-e version that will go into production early in 2020. Called the Vauxhall Corsa-e in the UK, this sleek derivative of the Peugeot e-208 will seek to make electric mobility accessible to everyone, clocking in with an output of 100 kW and an electric range of 330 kilometres. Currently, Opel is poised to roll out an electric version of every model in its portfolio by 2024. Exciting times!
Opel CEO Michael Lohscheller was quoted as saying that the Corsa was chosen as the major milestone in the brand's electrification offensive due to the fact that it's one of their most successful models in recent history.
“The Corsa has sold 14 million units in the last 37 years. This is partly why, as of early 2020, we will also build the Corsa-e in Zaragoza. The Corsa-e will be the first fully electric Opel “made in Europe”. This is a very clear sign that we are bring the future to the Zaragoza plant with the new Corsa – and that Opel goes electric,” said Lohscheller.
